Eric Enge Custom Search Guide
I gave Eric Enge a hard time after receiving an email from him asking me to take a look at his Custom Search Guide. I have been kind of dead to the whole SEO interview thing and usually would have jumped right on it but didn’t. Anyhow, Eric contacted just 21 people about his new CSG and I was one of them so I have to say I am a bit flattered. It also turns out that in this small world a product I make (rain barrel) was just featured on “Ask This Old House” and Eric is friends with the director and lives not far from me.
So what is a CSE and The Custom Search Guide?

There is so much cool stuff going on and great people to meet, sorry if I have been a little down on SEO lately. Hope these few links help Eric and Donna to get their heads above this current SEO power grab, seems like nobody references anyone outside of their small group of friends these days and there are so many cool blogs and individuals out there.

Heh, it’s easy to get down on SEO, Aaron. I go through an SEO slump 2 or 3 times a year. Then, suddenly something happens to fuel the fire in me again, and I like what I do again. And yes, the blog communities can be overly tight, but sometimes it’s because people get into a routine of only reading the same blogs, and never get around to venturing out. Yesterday was the first time I’d ever heard of Eric’s blog, and I was all excited to read something new. It’s in my feedreader now, and I’ll likely be linking out to it in the future. I just leave the power grabbing to the kids who like to play with the power. For my blog, it’s just me trying to pass out information. I’m too old to play in the power sandbox. :D I’ve got donkeys next door to watch. Their play is so much more interesting. hehe.
