How do I report a problem to Google?
Posted on January 31, 2007 - Filed Under Tips | 13 Comments
Someone has a website that has been de-indexed. They are not an SEO and have no idea how to report a problem to Google. In my experience when Google gets it wrong they are very interested in looking at the data to improve their search engine algorithm. Many do not know that there is a help center where you can:
Report a problem
- Spammy sites violating Google’s Webmaster Guidelines
- Malicious software that displays weird toolbars, popups, or redirects to strange sites
- Inappropriate or irrelevant search results
- Problems personalizing your Google homepage
- General problems using Google Web Search
Report a legal matter
- Remove information from Google’s search results / Privacy questions
- I have a question about privacy
- I’d like to remove information from Google’s search results
Learn how to
- Personalize my homepage
- Search for something specific
- Delete my search history
Other
- For all other issues
Got a question that can not be answered in Google Groups? Ask it using the Web Search Help Center. Good luck!

Hi,
I would like to report an issue with the following link….
toronto-playmates.worldsuperexchange.info/the-playmates.html – 11k – Supplemental Result -
This comes up when my name is ‘googled’…my google record is important to me as a free lance writer and translator….sometimes, in a pinch, the easiest thing to suggest to a potential client is to ‘google’ me to read some of my published works….
this particular link was a mystery to me, especially with it’s ‘playmate’ reference…so, I went into it and it takes the viewer to a porn site….
is there any way to get this removed from google as I don’t want any potential clients or employers to think that I’m associated with this material?
thanks so much for your help…

Maria – I do not see the reference when I “google” you. In fact the serp looks very good, your website is #3.

You main page is indexed:
http://www.google.com/search?num=100&q=site:redtailtampers.com
Are you talking about showing up in organic search for “RedTail Pipe Tampers”?
See that “More…” link at the bottom of the page? Make that link with the link text of “More Pipe Tampers” cuz using keywords sometimes helps.
I really think with your site it comes down to a few more incoming links and time.

There has become a hesitation when trying to get into my email and then I can not check mail as it is frozen for some minutes. Not all the time but I have noticed more hesitation.

When I use the google Search –whatever I search for comes up in a list —-then I click on the site I want to go to —–It takes me to somewhere else—such as “Yellow pages” or to a list from “Mfeed” or any of many other pages and none what I searched for: Can you give me someplace to go figure out whats happened or tell me how to fix it

Today, I saw the following when checking my email. In my chat area of the screen, where my status usually shows, instead – today was the following: ext+1347244386@truphone wants to be able to chat with you. Okay? Following the message was a yes and no button.
Does this mean that my account was hacked, or is this a new advertisment for Google. I did not like that it was there, because it made me feel my information was available as well as my contacts. Please let me know why and how this happened.
