SEO Analyzer

Posted on June 15, 2006 - Filed Under Tools | 6 Comments

SEO Analyzer is a web standards and SEO tool that goes beyond search engine ranking. SEO Analyzer focuses on semantic structure and other design elements. The only thing that might be considered “SEO” is it’s top keywords query because it is all about:

  • web standards-based web design
  • semantic structure
  • obsolete and deprecated HTML
  • improper use of table elements
  • inline styles
  • download size and time
  • outgoing links
  • top keywords

SEO Analyzer was developed by a team of veteren IT professionals who believe in a holistic, reductionist approach:

The Sitening approach encompasses both holism and reductionism: just as we believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, we also recognize the importance of attention to detail. We can provide a complete solution from the ground up or plug a hole in the hierarchy of technological management of information.

Does this tool represent a new breed of internet marketer who is smart, fresh and compliant?

Give SEO Analyzer a try! (I got a 100% on aaronpratt.com for it’s bloggy freshness).

I do believe that SEO has links with usability, accessibility and information architecture. It is not only a techie thing anymore. It is SEO 2.0

This tool is nice, but there should be some stopwords used for the Top Keywords, as there are a lot of “le” “la” (“the” in french).

Yes sir, and your blog needs a translate widget: http://www.webmaster404.com/translate-widget/

    :)

Gave the tool a try on a couple of sites. None scored 100%. Was kind of disappointed with the output though. Seemed too basic to be of any use to anyone that would care enough to run such a tool.

Marios – This post was more of a statement about usability than a promotion of an SEO tool.

Interesting duplicate content study, I bookmarked your blog and will revisit it.

You’re right that SEO Analyzer can be a little basic, but I think it’s meant to be more of an overview – not a detailed analysis. What you’re probably looking for is the new SEO Report tool they’ve got on their site now. The price is a little steep, but worth it since it gives you a 10 page PDF about your site. I ran a couple reports for the websites my company manages and our clients have been pleased.
